After a £12.5m redevelopment, the new People’s History Museum opens on Saturday 13 February 2010. Come with friends and family to help test drive the new museum before the official opening a few weeks later.Telling the story of the history of the fight for democracy, this iconic new building holds bigger and better galleries with even more interactives and activities for visitors of all ages to have a go at. The museum also holds changing exhibitions, an education service, the Labour History Archive and Study Centre, the Textile Conservation Studio, corporate facilities, a new shop selling unique books and gifts and a new cafe, complete with the sunniest riverside terrace in Manchester!
